Sorted buggy today with new clutch shoes,tested in the garden and now back to working order,thanks again Pat for solving my problem |

blue alloy have just been fitted but also just got dynamite max-life aluminium 1's |

i use hong nor long life aluminium ones in both truggys and buggys have had no problems with them try them and see what you think of them they come with black and gold springs . |

In my hyper 8 the standard ones are still good,but in the truggy it ate the ones that came with it,so i changed to hong nor long life using the black springs and they are still perfect |

That was the standard ones that broke where they loop over the flywheel pin,1st time they have gone |

Do you use all 6 of the shims? 3 on before the shoes then 3 on top of shoes? |

Just three on the bottom,put them on before you fit the shoe's,then allow a good amount for shimming,as the alloy shoe's expand more.. |

How much axial float in the clutch bell to allow for expansion? |

Different strenghts so you can ajust when you want the clutch to engage,most peolpe would tend to use a heavier spring to allow the engine to spool up in revs before rthe clutch bites,as for endfloat anything up to 2mm i normally set mine to about 1mm of float... |
