It was made a rule when we ran at the Rutland Arms that everyone used one - if they do or not who knows? I am fortunate to use a Spektrum - built in to the system - but no return spring.....yet.

| iv got both, but i think a spring is more important than the fail safe,as its a no brainer to switch on a handset when not racing,a fail safe wont work if you servo drops a pot at wot any way,but having said that if your servo isnt a floating one the spring wont pull it back to idle, servos always seem to brake at wot,and a failsafe wont do anything |

| They are very simple,it pulls the servo horn to close the throttle shut, but like reg says some servo's when the power is cut are floating head and some lock up.its simple to fit and is a good safty measure.have a look at our's on tuesday... |

| i found that as you have to get someone else to fuel your car in the pit stop, they tend to wash every thing in fuel, and it eats the rubber,iv got some proper springs if you want some |

I use the Venom smart temp....limits the throttle to 60% if the engine gets to your preset temp..does all the other fail safe stuff...low volts, no signal etc.. Also records yor max engine temp per run.....
And I have a throttle servo spring... |
