Agenda 1
Club Membership
It was decided that membership was to be £25pa exluding brca which we will get paypal set up for this.
When the access has been sorted which will be early this year combination locks will be used and access for all members all year round.

Track Maintenance
This was decided taht Both Paul and Carl would head up the track maintainance and overall track decisions.
They will be everybodys first point of contact for such areas.

Race control
Help and guidance needed and training of new race controllers Dave Chaz Ben
Agenda 5
Series and track events
Chaz will be the first point of call for any series and track events that we will be holding and sorting out the calenda for dates ect,.
Agenda 6
Publicity
Dave will be looking after this i.e track side advertisement series sponsors ect. We discussed about having direct link to sponsors websites on our site ect.
Agenda 7
What we want to be able to achieve this year.. We would like to be able to get the track extension finished and the car park area gravelled this is going to be a massive amount of cash imput needed. For next winter series we need to get astro turf for the track to use during the winter months and to lift it and run on clay during the summer months.

Sorry but I'm confuddled here??
It's £25 p.a membership, then £5 for turning up and playing as a member??
OR don't be a member and pay £7 a time to play?? |

Do the maths....... if you race at the track as often as I will this year - then saving £2 a race meeting is good - you only need to do 13 race meets as a member to cover your membership - there's also a non members honesty policy for track use, you should pay when you use the track for practice and 'bashing.
If you intend racing at A1 regularly - then pay the membership - if you're a part-timer / visitor don't.
Think on though...
Paying membership and being a part of the club helps to ensure it's continued existence, everything that's done down there costs in one way or another - either financial or in one's time - some people give money, some time and some both - just so the majority have somewhere to enjoy a hobby. Membership fees, paid in advance of a season's racing allows the club to pay for the materials and equipment required to get the track upto scratch for the forthcoming season - our first year last year was done on borrowed money and one off donations...it probably won't happen this year, that'w why sub's help clubs survive.
There are those as well that do 'jack 54it' for anyone - expect to be able to turn up, pay the pittance race fees, race make a mess, leave it all behind and then go home - everytime - oh! then complain that something wasn't good enough.
Some might be suprised at how many actually do that......

Don't forget, as soon as the private access to the track is sorted then members will have FREE access to use the track via a keycode on the gate.
Non members have to pay to bash and practice.
You get out what you put in with these things, both in time and money. |
