Hi Glen
I reckon it will be dark around half 8 as the forcast looks good. We should squeeze three rounds as long as it moves quickly. At the height of last year we where getting an average of 35 drivers. I have no idea how many we will get tomorrow night. It is the first of the season!! |

Video camera - yes, battery charger no. lent it to a friend and haven't seen it since! - maybe next week if I chase them. What about the Stuntman - he has all sorts of photographic equipment - How about it Dave? |

Best off bringing you're own -just in case, there was talk of a snack wagon but un-confirmed at this juncture. There is the services on the main road - but as usual, it's expensive and a bit of a drag going back up the dirt track!
The weather looks like it will be kind to us, maybe it will be the same as when we first started out at the Mucky, never raining on our meets - or have I now jinxed it? |

The weather god was on our side, as is right and proper, what a pleasant start to the Summer season, warm, dry and sunny.
To our new visitors this evening - What can we say ? your approval and thanks are most appreciated, and you're welcome anytime -next time you come bring a friend, we have the space, and the more we have, the more interesting the racing.
Just goes to show how much maintainence some do though - the drop-out rate was pretty high, at the beginning of the evening there were heard comments like "it hasn't been touched since I chucked it in the garage last October" -
Tom - you did well for your first time ever racing, you can only improve with time, practice by yourself or just against the clock never compares with racing....everyone wants the bit of track you're on!
Don't be suprised by the help that you get, it's the norm and not the exception. Everyone helps you and in the future you help someone else.
Tuxman - not a bad map for 3 minute's work, wasn't perfect though as you still had to ring! Glad you approved seeing as you're a practiced competitor, like most, our track is still a work in progress, and thanks to the dedicated few it will keep getting better.
See you all next week. |
