Why do non members pay the same to race as members do? Non members £7 and members £5, if you have your own insurance then fair enough but it is the members who have and will put the effort in when track work is needed so it pays to be a non member at the moment? Or have i got it all twisted around my little brain? |

Ian you have hit the nail on the head non members even if brca members have to pay a higher price per week £6/£7 and mambers have to pay £5..
Obviously something needs to be agreed soon and will be sorted by this tuesday so we can get clarification for all ... |

Agree tnx king why should others that have paid membership suffer for non members it as to be addressed. Chris must know who hasn't paid membership and needs to force these racers to pay up
What does being a member gain against a non member? Nothing its the Non member who gains |

With the 'sensible suggestions' thread looking at using the track on other nights for testing and tuition - this is where the paid up membership will gain.
As far as I am aware: Your membership consists of two parts - A1R membership at £23.00 and BRCA membership at £12.00. If you already, via another method have a BRCA card then show it and only pay A1R membership. This should entitle you to: Tuesday evening race night at a cheaper (not increased) amount, use at minimal (or no extra charge?) on other, to be confirmed evenings/ weekend days where non members will pay a day rate to use the track. When we run Sunday 'open' events then once again, your membership should allow you to race at a reduced rate.
Like all things it takes time - be patient, it will get sorted. |

Just a thought, if you have a driver who races another class of R/C such as Electric and has membership of another club do you think that they would be likely to pay for membership to 2 clubs?
It has been suggested that on a Sunday 'Open' meeting that club members race for a reduced rate what incentive is theer for OUTSIDERS to coem and race at A1?
Surely you are wanting to encorage higher numbers of drivers not restrict it to the normal club members. Its a bit like train fares the lower the cost the more use it hence higher profits.
How would the drivers who raced at the Kit Car Show have felt if they had been asked to pay more than the Newark Drivers? |

Ive read a couple of post's now about membership on this forum, and i personly think some peolpe are missing the point. Your membership payment is about running of the club and upkeep of a permant track facility, ive heard "what do i get for your money" you get a track to race at,correct me if im wrong but when you pay your membership to a golf club you get just that membership when you want to play YOU PAY. I know the weather has not been at its best but im sure with time (dont forget this track was just a field a few months ago),chris and ben and a few others will sort out just what benifits members will be entitled to be patient it will happen.. As to the point adout just turning up and going on the track, ive been a member of clubs that do this and that is only when they own the rights to the access of the land,at this moment in time we dont we have to go across someone else's land,if and when the bypass is finished we might be able to have a better access and a system for members to arrive and practise on the track.. GIVE IT TIME,ITS A NEW VENUE A NEW TRACK BUT A VERY GOOD TRACK.. |

Well Done Pat, succint and to the point - as always.
Tony, If I want to race regularly at two different clubs then I would pay for membership at 2 different clubs - makes sense to me. It's like all things - everything costs, if you want to do it bad enough, you pay. The only incentive to race at 'our' track, is the track. If anyone wants a change from their usual venue, they'll come.
