After the success of Thursday nights last year we will be starting again this coming Thursday 15th.
So the track will be open at about 6pm for practice. Usual fees apply, free to members, £3.00 to non-members. |

Good chance there will be a few down there working on track maintainence, but you could practice round them - or bring a shovel and lend a hand - either way turn up and try it...
There were a few turned up this evening, some new faces (and some old ones - but Pat can't help that...) All being well, they've had a bit of a practice, set up their buggies /truggies and will be down to race Tuesday. Just remember to get some spare crystals guys - most of the new chaps all had Green (27.195MHz) if you want to race it might be advisable to invest in at least two other frequencies - but ask around first you want to avoid getting the same alternatives as the others. |

Thursday 24th - I went there to try and get the TNX going and the buggy 'tuned' for this Gen2 fuel but it turned out to be a good fun evening. A few new people turned up - sorry if I didn't get your names - didn't charge them either...first timers you see, but it was a case of just enjoying the banter.
There was AJ from Cranwell with his brand new out of the box, Hong nor buggy - he's survived with just a broken bumper first time out on the track. You did well, not as easy as it looks is it? Mick from Rainworth with his 1/5th Baja (noisy beast but quite impressive) who's looking forward to a bit of competition and his sidekick with the truck and not a lot of tyre left! Then there were the two big lads that turned up with the XTM(?)buggy they came Tuesday to view and were practicing for next week - it's looking a little sad now but it can be repaired ready to race.... The young chap with the ballistic brushless 1/10th - and a hyper 7, was threatening to kick as next week......Time will tell, you do know the story of the Tortoise and the hare?
See, I don't know names but I know your models!
Very pleasant evening, nice to have a bit of track time with no worry about the clock. Maybe a few more should try it. |

Thanks for your help on thursday Phil! much appreciated, haven't had much chance to run my hong nor buggy since thursday which is a bit of a shame because I had great fun, looks like I wont be able to make it on tuesday 29th (tomorrow) as both my parents are busy and its a few too many miles to walk/cycle to the track. But I'm able to make it on thursday 31st(weather permitting) for some more practice, hopefully this time without breaking anything! P.s does anyone know where I can get hong nor spares from a local shop, not online??? |

| Custom Built Racing has a shop in Eakring and does some Hong Nor spares. Phone Tony on 01623 871560 and ask he might have what you want. |

| Apologies for the late notice but I'm sure you all had guessed that practice night is cancelled for Thursday 31st July due to the heavy rain all day. |

| Assume practice tonight will be cancelled, we will not be down tonight & don't think anyone else will be there to unlock/lockup. |
