HI ALL, I WAS JUST LOOKING ROUND ON THE NET AND CAME ACROSS A SITE, www.blacksmithproducts.co.uk AND WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE HAN ANY IDEA IF THIER BUGGIES WERE ANY GOOD?
The site shows a list of questions - appropriately they are correct, but some they omit are
Has anyone ever won a big race meet with one? Has anyone ever heard of them? Are they a cheap 'chogie' copy of someone else's.
The Ansman buggy I've heard of - a reasonable budget racer, but those wheels and tyres I know won't last long - I got some as a gift and they lasted 3x 5 minute heats and half a 10 minute final before losing all tread ! Rumour had it(and you might like to ask Steve at Access models) that it's a copy of a Hobao and parts are compatible - but don't quote me - good price though.

thats wot interested me the most was the price but as per they omited some truths that were needed. As for the tires I cant believe that was all that they lasted. Need seem new ones for my truggy so need to go more expensive for long lasting tread.
What you have to realise Steve is that our track being clay, when dry is highly abrasive - those particular tyres were a very soft compound - probably great for grass or astro, NOT for clay! There are many different compounds, tread patterns and foam fillers - but you'd have to speak to one of the other guys in the club to see which ones are best for what and where (or wear even!) This is one of the dark arts as far as I'm concerned, as long as it's black and round (and cheap)it works for me (but I usually come in last!)
