Hey guys,
Ive been hunting high and low and have finally found Deerdale and the A1 racing club. I live over near S****horpe, about 50mins away and would love to have a bash at racing, probably with either a truck or a truggy.
Could anyone tell me what the requirements are for racing in the Truck class? I have a Revo 3.3 which Im guessing would be ideal, but a friend has a Tmaxx which would obviously be pants in stock trim, but could probably bee lowered and stiffened to be useable?
Any advice anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated. |

Hi Phil, welcome to the forum mate.
Your not going to need anything special to come and have a race. A handful of diffrent frequencies would be good between you if you have 27Meg.
At the moment we are running the trucks with the truggys as we don't usually get enough for a heat. That said if you guys come down with two there may be enough to run seperatly.
You may want to email the user AndyC on here as he is going to come down from Scunny to race as well. (might save on the fuel costs a little)
If you want to come down for a bash one weekend let me know, either that or the first round of the Winter series is on Sunday 18th October.
We are a relaxed a friendly bunch so if you have any issues with setup and things there's always somebody to help.
Cheers
Chris

Thanks Chris, I'll definitely come down, not sure when it will be as the cyclocorss season has just started and I'll be racing those most weekends now until Christmas.
Id like to pop down one weekend for a bash though, see the layout etc before diving in to racing. Ive got a cross race at Bourne on the 11th, so Id be down your way for that..... |

Hi, On the truck front we tend to race electric short course 4&2 wheel drive and truggies. A few of us still own monsters but don't race them. What we found was that they weren't that good with corners !
You'remore than welcome to come have a look , maybe we can convert you! |
