I saw you and Mr Ross having a few problems...He is a very very aggresive driver, I kept telling him to cool it..
Might not be him you are talking about but he does have a very different driving style and doesn't let of the throttle for anyone.... |

I was talking about the overall standard of driving, not just one race or person.if i was on about one person trust me i would name and shame them |

OK - you made a comment regarding attitude and skill levels - now how about some explanation of what you would like to see in the way of track etiquette ?
In the rough and tumble of our 'sport' it is often regarded as a free for all, and a bit of 'everyman for himself'. Now is your chance to educate, if you could list a few basic rules of the track we can make them known to all and see if we can't make everyone a better driver. |

| i think the problem came from there not being 2 finals,so the people who would have been in a B final raced with the people who are normaly race in the A, |

Ok then, The first thing is that when we do heats and a final the five minutes are against the clock and not each other. GIVE WAY TO A FASTER TRUCK?BUGGY. Its not all about speed, its car control that wins. Stop this p**ssing about at the end of your heat, running your car with your mates for 15 minutes when others are waiting for there heat... I know its only a small venue and when laps are about 20 seconds you will get faster buggy's catching up with slower buggy's,but there is nothing worse than getting teeboned by the same person every lap... A tenth of a second pulling to one side is far better than waiting for a marshal to put a buggy back on its wheels.. |

In fairness, we have all been guilty of not conceding to the faster vehicle on track - I do try to avoid blocking vehicles that are lapping me, usually by running wide on corners, but sometimes no matter what I do, the faster vehicle does the same and a collison ensues - for which I shout an apology..but the faster driver has accused me of blocking.
I have also noticed when the shoe is on the other foot, the once faster driver has gone off - and once back on the track drives hell for leather with scant regard for anyone else racing trying to regain his former position - so what is the etiquette on this matter ?
As regards the messing around afterwards - I agree that race over is exactly that and the track should be cleared - the number of times I have been surprised by the 'just one more lap' brigade whilst I have been marshalling - that leads to another subject for serious debate......those that don't marshall... |

| Agree with every word of that grasshopper,i try and keep out of the way and the other driver follows and smashes into mine, but their not sorry there just trying to make up lost time etc etc. Some of us are just learning as well ...so why not have a novice race as well as pro's race and as for marshalling like you say another debate |

| qualifing is always mixed, every one is treated the same, its the finals that sort out who is in the A final and who is in the B final, like i said in my first post because we had no A and B final that was why the post started, but then if it had not for the lad standing in for chris then we would not have had a race anyway |
