Hi Folks,
Is the Feb round of the the winter series running on the 21st Feb? Hopefully the series will carry on and maybe run the full 6 rounds between now and June - more of a spring series! Either that or a double pointer?
We have a great track so would be good to use it. |

| The track looks fine, carpark is the problem at the moment. We could race though, it would just mean parking on the old a1 and ferrying equipment down to the track. I dont know how people feel about doing that?? |

I'm up for playing the ferry man, BUT, the whole area, last visit, was a bog.
The track is fantastic - the snow, rain and wind has made the astro clean and bright (apart from the bunny drops), the infield however is still a 'leedle' bit muddy, as is the pit area. If we had laid the old astro either side of the safety fence thing would be different - something to think about doing this year? |

Well Phil, you have added your say in the time it took me to remember my log in details!
I am intending to go to the track and have a play about Saturday mid morning so can have a look and a report back then. Parking up on the old A1 has a couple of disadvantages most of all being the security of our kit. An alternative may be - has been done in the dim distant past of my racing life that we just park up on the track - if access to the Moto x track isn't needed, with the old addage of he who arives first gets boxed in............
I have spoken to a couple of the construction companies i deal with and they think we may be best off trying to get hold of some black top FOC rather than the hard core/rubble. any ideas or contacts? |

You not been down for a while Dave?
Access road to the MX track MUST NOT be blocked for any reason, at any time. Parking on MX land is not possible now without Dave's permission - and access through his locked gate.
The raising of the car park was started before christmas, a load of stuff was dumped at the end closet to the roadway and levelled off, the drop into the carpark will be fine going in, as long as it's dry, getting out could be different - wet or dry unless you have a bit of ground clearance, or don't give a toss about your car....
Theere is limited parking at the entrance to our bit of land, on the raised hardcore, beyond that you're into the quagmire.
It is very much a work in progress - the recent weather not giving it a chance to dry out so the trucks can start dumping again. |

| Unfortunately not Phil, I've not been to Gonerby Moor since round 1 back in October. I can't make it to Sleaford on a Tuesday night. Would it be reasonable to as Dave to park in his car park? |

Asking Dave is a possibility if he's there. You do realise that it's the new way in off the old A1 slip? I am also going to presume you have the relevant key combo's - parking for a couple of cars on the driest of our bit is possible, dropping off the newly laid rubble is not recommended unless you've got a 4X4 at the moment. |

| I've raced in the 1st round of the series! I have the gate code, unless it's been changed recently and yep I know about the new way in...... I will stick to the hard stuff and make sure that the track isn't blocked. |

| Well i tried to go to the track today but the first gate - the one adjacent to Sharmans yard was padlocked with a key lock and had cones across so i didnt get down to the track which was disapointing. |

And on the other side of the gate is the combination lock which we all use......the cones are movable, they are only there so people don't drive into the closed gate as they can be invisible in the wrong light.
If you want to go down Sunday let me know what sort of time and I might get away myself for an hour... |

Regarding this weekend's event (Feb 21st)- the winter series.
Having given it some consideration and in view of the tragic state of the car park - This event is cancelled - we have serious parking issues, although the track is in fine fettle. Please be assured that as soon as we can safely use the carpark we will be arranging some events. |
