Evening All,
It is with great reget that I have to announce that Tuesday night races are temporarily suspended.
Last Tuesdays meeting was for the moment, the last indoor meet at Allington . Lauren (the owner)rang Steve and informed him that we can no longer race in the arena due to the cost of 'repairing' the damage we do on race nights.
Some of you may have noticed since the storm a few weeks ago that the texture of the sand and fibre mix had changed. It seems that the Arena mangement had added new materials and our racing had caused ruts and berms that they were finding difficult to rectify without it costing many extra man-hours.
With the approach of the busiest time in the equestrian season - Arena UK cannot afford to let us jeopardise their facility and the safety of the animals.
Arena UK have offered an area outdoors, but this will only be practical when the nights draw out, hopefully after we change the clocks at the end of this month - we are also trying to find an alternative indoor venue - but this could be difficult / expensive - more news as soon as we get it.
Finally, although we some contact information - we don't have everyone's - if you happen to know anyone else that races on Tuesday nights please pass this information on - we are trying to avoid wasted time and journeys.
More information will be posted on a1racingclub.com and also nrccc.co.uk
Look forward to seeing you all racing again soon.....
Added Saturday 10th : Just to let you know - it was my suggestion that no-one was informed straight away - we were trying to organise another venue so as to move and not postpone racing - and we gave ourselves a deadline of Friday night - unfortunately we were unsuccessful |

I know a place that we could possibly use - the Rutland Arms at Woolsthorpe by Belvoir, if the landlord's agreeable. Once again, it would have to be Sundays until the light nights - but it is a possibility...
How many would be interested? |

This is the kind of response I was expecting - 2 out of 3 people have other committments at the weekend and that's why we were looking for something mid -week.
DO NOT sell anything yet, be patient, we are working on it - if you know of a potential site please let us know - we are all willing to travel
