Hi Luke,
Do you mean Kart as in GoKart/ProKart like they race a Fulbeck or Ancaster or 1/8th Nitro like we race?
Cheers

1/8th nitro cart, just what you race mate, just wanted some advice about the whole thing really?
1) Can I join your club, what costs are involved? 2) What kit to buy?
I want to build my own kart and race it really, I have been looking on the web but do not really know what to look for or anything?
Cheers

we call them nitro buggys, trucks or truggies, hobao buggys are good to go for for a first time kit. hyper 7, losi 8ight will kepp yer going etc
one piece of advice is not to buy a kit that spares are hard to get hold of, keep to the main brands like hobao , losi, mugen, kyosho or team associated. if yer break your kit at the track then usually other racers will lend you a part to get going again so keep with the above and your covered

will second bellboy. Good starting choice is always the trusty Hyper 7. The only item you really need to change is the steering servo. Always a good choice for club level racing.
Membership is £35.00 for the year and includes your BRCA membership and insurance.
Can you get down to the track tomorrow night? come down and have a look, plenty of free advice available

Hey Luke
I was wandering if you have managed to decide on what buggy to go with after speaking to guys last night ??
Though I couldnt make it last night, I was there for my first meeting last Tuesday and loved it. A good, friendly (and v.helpfull) group of guys and great track too boot !!..champion
I've had a hyper 7 for a few years but havent run it much, something I'm going to change once I become a member and get to the track regularly. I hear a lot that the Hyper 7 is v good all rounder with plenty of spares to be had which makes for a good time..There have been later incarnations such as the Hyper 7.5,8 and now the most recent version the (have you guessed yet) 9. Though watchout out for the 9 cos its got a wonky engine
No doubt I'll catchup with you 'trackside'
