Im going out on a bit of a limb here, and please forgive me if Im over stepping the mark, especially since I havnt even joined the club (.....yet)
From what Ive read, the car park is in pretty good order now, and the track sounds like it is in excellent shape. Is there any chance that the club might be interested in holding a Sunday race meeting? Ive looked around the calendar, and there are NO races in the Lincs/Derbys/Notts/Yorks area on July 4th, so the potential to draw quite a few racers is there (I know for a fact that there would be 4 from Scunny ;)) Its early enough to be able to get the event publicized on a few forums etc to make sure people know about it.
Whats your thoughts? |

More than happy to beddo but your race director (namely me) is at the Goodwood Fesitval of Speed this weekend.
Any other suggestions July onwards would hope to have the car park finished with the tarmac planings on.
Cheers
Chris

Ooooh thats a shame. I really, really fancy a day at the track. Cmon Chris, get someone trained up so we can get racing. :D
We will come over for a Tuesday evening soon, work has eased for me and weve just come back from hols, but its a fair treck for a couple of hours meeting. Roughly how much track time would you get in an evening event?

Hi beddo
Depending on weather and light we always have a minimum of three five minute heats. Often four heats depending on how fast the meeting runs. First heat is on the line for seven. The first drivers get down for six so if you can skive off a little early you could get an hours practice in. |

Checking the weather, it looks like it should be fine next Tuesday, so Im gonna sweet talk Mrs B into letting me have an evening to myself, then talk to the boss in to letting me go early next week. If I get away at 4, we should be on track for 6
I'll keep you posted, if we come, there should be 5 or 6 of us hopefully. Will a Losi 8e be OK to have a bash? |

Affirmative to the Losi, won't be as good as a Hyper, but I'm biased!
If you are coming next week, PM me a mobile number and I'll text you if there are any problems / weather issues etc before you set off at 4, it might save you a wasted trip. |
