Depends on weather. If it is calm enough i will! I think that the container should be ok on some slabs. If it sinks at all we can always jack it up and re-slab it? |

Taken from the Rallycross section of the BRCA website:
Just for reference...
a] Tracks must be a minimum of 4 metres wide and at least 250m long when walking the shortest route. (Guidance to organisers: should aim for a lap time of minimum 35 seconds). There may, however, be a single point of the track layout where the width may be reduced by 1 metre [i.e. to 3 metres] for a maximum length of up to 10 metres.
[e] The rostrum must be a minimum of 10 metres in length, 1.83 metres high and able to accommodate 15 persons safely (i.e. with good margin). The front must have a safety rail and a kickboard and the floor should be constructed of solid material and be all at one level. All steel-constructed rostrums must be fully earthed in at least two places. The rostrum should be marked into equal sections so that 15 spaces are marked out, enabling drivers to see which space is available to use. |

Roller? Chaz, if you want performance go for a Bentley - if you get to drive a digger you can change to Wellington boot.
I would just like to say publicly - your enthusiasm and willingness to labour for the benefit of the other lazy sods who'll just turn up to drive makes me really proud of all of you, I hope the others show their appreciation - see you tomorrow.. |

Do all the "lazy sods" know what is going on ????.....if they don't use this forum then I doubt it.....It wouldm't be much of a club if only the ten, or so , who are doing this work raced each week.....don't knock the "lazy sods" you need them to come racing and you need there cash ...... |

I don't think grasshopper was poking at the those who don't know whats going on, it was just a gentle poke at those who do just turn and race annd then bugger off again...we all now who they are....and we all know who puts the effort in, be it be track building, setting up, packing away, race control, clearing rubish up yada yada yada. The vast majority of people do there bit. We all put the effort in how and when we can. It's the same with any club no matter what the sport! Always has been always will be.....
I am aware that not everybody knows what's happening at the moment but it is difficult to inform everybody when without spending hours on the phone etc etc. So the forum and Access Models is the best method of communication.
we didn't expect to lose the Arena venue especially at such short notice, and it was a minor miracle that we manged to get hold of all but two people that racing was cancellled on the following Tuesday.
As we lost it at short notice there was no plans in place, so this all a bit adhoc at the moment.
Racing is back on on the 10th April at Newark Showgound so this will bring everybody back together for a few weeks. We sould then be able to put a proper calander in place for some summer racing on the new track. |

Money isn't an issue it's just we need to spend what we have in the right places first.
Can we please get back on topic EVERYBODY before I have to lock this thread, and start a new one. |

What a good result this evening - learnt a lot from the Egyptians didn't we? - when we all pull/push together things get done. Container sited more or less in the correct place - a few inches here or there won't make a huge difference will it Chaz?
Well done Gentlemen for another constructive evening - Next 'meeting' supposedly Bank Holiday Monday 10am. |
