Any of the trucks are good for racing, a fair few of us ran strikes around the 1/8th track when this SCT thing started and had a lot of fun, check out the YouTube video, they are all stock too!
Sticking with what you have and learning to drive it is the only way of progressing in this hobby, changing cars on a daily basis, adding shiny bits and stupid fast motors will not help you get anywhere, we have been saying this from day one and comes from years of experience!
Tom's truck is out of the box chassis wise and he beats you lot and the majority of the national series entrants by driving consistently well, full proof it's not about bling or power and to finish first, first you have to finish!
Get the Blitz running reliably with a slow motor and get it round the track with minimum mistakes, a 10.5 is all that's needed in a 2wd SCT, if you want the fastest truck in the club then get the kit I have, but you won't do a lap without wrecking it or everything else around it! |

What Mark said. I would say that its 10%car 89% driver and 1% luck! Pick what brand name you like the sound of best (HPI has a nice ring to it, not like 'Team Associated' :-D) and practice with it. Its the only way to get better. Throwing money at your car dosent. Run your own race and dont get tangled up with other cars or the pipework and your laptimes should drop. Yes shortcourse is a 'contact' class but you should avoid it because it slows you down! Look at the timing sheet at the end and try and get your average lap and best lap as close to each other as possible. In other words, start slow, get consisant and then the speed will come naturally. |

I've heard on the grapevine that you may be getting some competition soon Tom and Steve and crew
There was an Associated Rozzer mobile up front last night, good fun with 2wd, enjoyed it and a bit more competition than 4wd class
Hmmm, wonder which brand I should go for?! |

Do they make 'TONKA' short course trucks ?
At least last night you didn't break anything .........for a change. Must be something to do with the brand of truck you were loaned. Where was your super duper Losi buggy by the way? |

Better than a 'Plonka' toy!
The 22 was in bits in my boot as the borrowed parts for our Regional went back to their owner, about time we had a LHS with 22 parts in stock ; )
All driver error, nothing wrong with Losi's , they don't break themselves! |
