Maybe so - but would you spend hard earned moolah and then try to destroy it, bet their Daddy bought those! |

They are not cheap bits of kit either Phil... they are running fancy brushless set up too, according to the comments underneath.
Its good entertainment but not something i'll be trying with the Slash... much better on the track with plenty of polite nudging!
don't suppose i can borrow the SC10 for some... erm... testing?
I've got something to bolt on my car that you will see a lot of on Sunday.... a new rear bumper, ho ho!

You keep talking......you haven't thought it through have you?
I'll not let you through when you come to lap me....Then we'll see who sees who's bumper! |

If you get some of those spike tyres like Lewis was saying, Phil, i won't see your bumper for the dust it'll be kicking up, i think they will be the advantage on our track!
If its damp like the last race meeting final heat then i'm definitely not going to lap anyone, the Slash was pretty undriveable and i was trailing all of you, thats a confession cos nobody noticed on the race results sheet!

You know I ought to start checking the results sheets - it sounds like you might not be winning as often as you tell us you do! I am just happy to race for 5 minutes and cross the line at the end -I go racing for 'the craic' and winning is just an added bonus.
As regards these SC trucks - I know I'm worse at those than 4wd nitro - my reaction times (and eyesight) dulling with age and letting me down - and no amount of upgrades, hop-ups or modifications will make me any higher up in the standings - but what the hell - it's all a good laugh and that's more important to me than trophies |

It was only the last heat we ran Phil, honest... was plagued with chronic interference at the end of the straight and the mildly moist track was very tricky, thats with the stock powerplant!
You're bang on with the fun factor, its good that this class has brought laughter and banter onto the rostrum.
I get the feeling they will be very entertaining indoors, especially with a few more of us tearing round the track... bring it on! |
