Yes most people would choose bmw if you asked them, but isnt that down to advertising bmw allways push there range (may be they have to )...lancia have not sold in the uk for about ten years now but they are still selling strong throughout europe (bmw not so strong)and they are returning next year with a full new lineup.

The brand awareness is not just down to the advertising - there is actually a good product range - world wide people know and aspire to own BMW's -admittedly (and I've heard all the jokes) some of the less salubrious types use them - but at least when they're escaping from the drug deal/bank robbery they know they can rely on their getaway car....if it was a Lancia it probably wouldn't have survived the ram raid!

We're all 'grown ups' and I suppose we can agree to differ - it wouldn't do if we all liked the same things.
I'd still like a blast in it when you've finished it.

It's not a BMW - but it does look really good - is it finally and completely finished?

Yes it is all finished BUT,because the panels were spayed seperatly to the body they are a slightly different shade of red and the sprayer is coming to have a look and i think they might have to come of and be sprayed again

Well ian the sprayer has been and cast his eye over the finished car,and the final result it will have to be all sprayed again.
It was always going to be a bit hit and miss with doing the car in pieces but he is not happy with the results so there it is,many a happy night now stripping the beast back to a bare shell

Can't you get away with just an outside respray? - only you would know that the door inners and arches weren't 100%.

And besides, within a couple of monthes the rust would draw one's eye from any colour mismatch......

Saw one similar to yours for sale recently - £6500 - more than I'd get for my 944 - especially now it has dents in the bonnet where a speaker fell from the joists in the garage....hacked off?..... rather!
