| If the MRT does the same job as an AMB and shares compatability, then I think its a no brainer. You say the AMB does 'more', what other things does it do? |

From my understanding, the MRT transponders are clones and you need to have had an AMB one first. If so, I'll need a Harry one as I've never owned a PT.
Think I'm wrong, so confusing! |

Tezcat - Steve sorted this one for us, you don't need to clone. See the bit in bold above. |

| As regards these personal transponders, Can the timing system cope with one PT being used across multiple classes on the same day? For example, if someone wished to race SCT and 1/8th rallyX could they use the same Transponder in both vehicles or have a clone made? |

| I was wondering the same as grasshopper, assume if I had 2 clips(one in each car) I could just slacken the bolts, unplug & slip the PT out, pop into other clip & nip up bolts & plug in. |

| Chris would need to confirm this but I think the system will allow the same PT number in two different heats. Ian |

Chaps, the timing system will allow you to run the same PT over a number of classes in the same meeting. If money is no object then clones are useful as if your PT fails then it will be easier to use a club one in one class than all classes.........if that makes sense?!
Also contineous plugging in and un plugging will in time wear the contacts in both reviever and PT plug.
Hope this helps. |

now, this I am not sure about off the top of my head! The PT number is associated with the car not the class. I'm not sure if the program will allow the same PT number (Which is "unique" to be associated with more than one car.
I will check on the system later if I get time. |
