Right then chaps - weather permitting - we are going down on Saturday 16th February (9:00 am) to start tidying up and doing a few track repairs ready for the new season.

We are going to get rid of some of the 'lakes' that have formed and raise those areas to provide better drainage.
We will have some plant equipment on loan - all being well - but anybody able to lend some grunt would be welcome. please bring any of your own tools where possible, obviously bring some grub as it will be an all day effort.

If there are any others you know that might like to assist but don't use this forum please pass on the info' - it'll do us all good to get a bit of fresh air and work off that excess winter weight..!

As discussed today i will try and provide a digger and a dumper for the day. Does anybody else have access to any more/other plant equipment, diggers, dumpers, rollers...?

Is anybody else going to be helping on Saturday? I could do with knowing how many people will be coming because it is not going to be worth all the effort to get machines down unless we have people to opperate them! We could do with about 8-10 people to help drive machines, rake soil, move track etc... I can get a 1.5 ton digger, a 1 ton dumper and a couple of 1/2 ton tracked loaders but only for 1 day and i am not sure if i will be able to get them again because it is getting to my busy period now! This could be our only chance to get the track sorted once and for all.

I have even managed to grab a guy from work that may be coming to help for a while. He is very knowledgeable (any chance of a spell checker Chris? lol) about drainage etc.
I have got the machines sorted and they are, 1.5 ton excavator, 3/4 ton dumper, 1/2 ton dumper and a kanga kid which is a small skid steer which you stand on the back of and it has a 4 in 1 bucket on the front, it is good for moving and leveling loose ground. oh, and a rake. Machines are on a first come first choice basis so lost one there gets the rake! only kidding. I should have all machines on site for about 08.30 - 09.00ish so see you there. It is unlikely but i will try to get some machines down for Sunday but i wont be there to help out.
