Hi guys, thinking of coming over to race tomorrow evening to check out your astro track. What time do you start racing & what's the race format? Just 4 straight rounds of qualifying?
Cheers. |

Hi matey,
we run 4 rounds of qualifying but obviously this is dependant on driver numbers and weather.
We start racing at 6:45pm, so if you can get to the track earlier you can have a bit of track time to practice/set up and the track is permanent so no putting out or packing away (although 1/10th track layout will change every few weeks when i get time to play with it and will be changed for the BRCA Regional and SCT events we have this summer)
Hope to see you tomorrow,
Mark.
Starting a new 4 weekly championship for all classes from tomorrow evening and all are welcome. |

You are more than welcome Paul,
I usually open gates at 5pm so you can have a fair few clean track laps if you can get down early.

Hi, first sorry for posting in a old thread.
I'm thinking of visiting this Tuesday for some races and just have some quick Questions.
Will i have to prebook or can I book in on the day?, and for 2wd buggies what is the best rubber?, the usual Schumacher yellows on the rear and stagger ribs on the front?.
Thanks. |

Pre booking not necessary ( or available 'AFAIK') booking in is from 6 ish, trying to get first race on before 7 due to nights closing in. Don't do 2wd buggy but your tyre choice sounds about right when I've heard others talk about their fidgety little buggies.
See you Tuesday! |

As 'young' Grasshopper says... Come and have a race with us on Tuesday's, plenty of 2wd buggys to race against,
There is a new track layout built so everyone will be neutral this week, we're also running buggys next Sunday at our SCT Carnage 2011 meeting and you are more than welcome.
You are bang on with tyre choice if it's dry, if it's damp or wet it's the usual ballistic greens with cut staggers or yellow spikes on front depending on preference.
I find that running ballistics on the back after the sun drops works well on a Losi 22 but they need as much help with rear grip as possible!
Hopefully see you Tuesday,
Mark. |

Gutted I missed it, Came down on Sunday to have a look at track layout but didnt have my sct with me. Not sure how long I will be away either, Claire been admitted to Lincoln hospital due to a potential problem with our unborn baby. Hopefully I will get time to pop down on Sunday to say hi for a few mins. |
