Unfortunately the owners decided to consolidate and re-group in Newark, leaving Grantham bereft of a place to buy our goodies......Lewis was made redundant and in need of employment...so,

A1 Hobbies Ltd was created to fill the space, we are based in Grantham, the address being
Units 1 & 2 Alma Park Road, Grantham, Lincs, NG31 9SE. telephone 01476 579393

Sat nav's gets a bit confused and don't know unit numbers but we are on the corner of Alma Park Road and Woodland Drive. the two bigger landmarks are Fairway Fixings and Holscot Holdings which we are in between. look for the logo! Lewis will be there to welcome you.
Open Mon - Fri 10 - 5 and Sat's 9 - 5, if he's not busy he might even make you a brew if you ask him nicely!

'involved' ? Yes I suppose you could say that, I was sweeping and tidying up this afternoon if that counts....as far as running a model shop goes, I am just the apprentice.

ewwww anyone of you lot caught wearing tight swimwear at club meetings will become jump mounds on the new 1/8th track (females exempt but there are strict rules on that too, no dogs or fat chicks!)

LOL at Grasshopper, at least the apprentice gets to go on exotic weekend breaks ; ) aye lad, its grim oop north! LOL

The Chimp gets buttered crumpets and fresh coffee when he pops in for a loitering and drifting session... now thats customer service!

as part of my sponsorship deal it must be mentioned in every post that A1 Hobbies are running a customer loyalty scheme which will benefit the regulars with savings on kit and special offers... see instore for details... The stock is being delivered daily atm so the shelves are filling up with plenty of top goodies for different makes and models, anything not presently in stock can be in stock within 1-2 days dependant on suppliers and a mail order service is available.

There is a good selection of motor/esc combos in stock atm Jake, so go get your purse out!

Coffee and battered crumpet? who's the crumpet? .....he might look rough sometimes but I wouldn't go as far as to call Lewis battered!
but you two do go back a long way....

All this talk about sponsorship - what makes you think that you're the one or even good enough Monkey-boy? all final decisions on sponsorship have to be passed by both directors, you've met my wife haven't you?

Yep, It's all coming along quite nicely at A1 Hobbies, the shelves are filling up and we must start advertising soon, the only visitors we've had have from 'word of mouth' so we're not yet in the public domain but we will be soon.

Oh and 'grim oop north?' not at all mate....we were staying in a village where you only receive TV signals if you have a satellite dish, no mobile phone signals and even the radio signals weren't stable but there was running water....loads of bleedin' water! restful weekend though - grandpa time and steam trains, it's all good.

As long as you had a good break... Grandpa! would have thought that no mobile phone signal is a blessing when you spend most your time on the end of the phone on callout!

Calling your staff 'crumpet' is sexual harassment these days... rough? hahahahahha... you are so in trouble for that one!

Well... the sponsorship comment was a wisecrack as you know, surprise!... but since i beat you lot on a very regular basis... even with your own cars! then the talent show is over... oh, and sponsoring someone that leaves Grantham more than once a year and is not scared to go further than Gonerby Moor might have its advantages to spreading the word more globally about your new business in the customer market base you are aiming at ; )

was it mentioned that i'm competing at the Oople Invernational international 3 day meeting and dBoots 2 day GP this year? LOL LOL LOL oh yeah and that reminds me.... the UK endurance masters

not fussed... got a really lucrative deal on the table from PG Tips, fyffes and Ansmann racing with a Mad-Monkey

A mad monkey offer for the freckly chimp, seems apt.

There are many of us that would like to compete elsewhere, some of us have responsibilities and aren't all' footloose and fancy' free.
