Just seen some of these being tested on Astro at Broxtowe...

the minispikes look really good, will give much better grip in yellow compound on Astro than Kourse Kings

The minipins also look very good, will be the tyre to try indoors.

Can see these tyres being the choice for future competition... although making them out of proper compounds means wear rate will be a lot higher and therefore not as cost effective for club racing.

worth a try though chaps... especially if you have beadlock wheels to keep costs down too.

That would be a good idea for 2WD trucks, Dave... Schumacher did make front staggers for Stadium Trucks years ago.

Dremel is your friend for front tyres... just use spikes with smoothed off rows/edges... worked a treat on the Hong Nor, Ansmann and Losi SCTE... i nicked the idea from the regional lot that were using it with success.

Jespares sell these which look like a good choice for indoors http://www.jespares.com/electric-models?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=10567&category_id=1282&keyword=Foam+tyres

We had some of those as raffle prizes at Carnage 2011 Steve,

They won't be any good or indoors this year as it will be multisurface... with some slippy shiny wood sections.

At a guess it will be the usual Kourse Kings/Bullseyes or either of these new Schumacher tyres that will work.

I'd stick with what you got until the first couple of indoor club meetings, won't take long to find one that works best.

For buggys there could be a control tyre for the Sunday championship... am attempting to get manufacturer event sponsorship atm which is all i can say at present.

proline make some very nice, if overpriced, tyres for short course too, indoors a set of M3 snipers on rear and m3 line slicers up front would be a decent setup

would be perfect with some of the bead locks
