How much is club membership for 2012? If I join in November does my membership run to end December 2012?

Don't forget it was decided that there will be NO racing on Dec 27th
- it's a shame I know but the next race meet will be January 3rd 2012

Merry Christmas people, a Happy New Year and may you receive everything you wish for.

Just a quick reminder everybody.

Unless we see your 2012 BRCA licence tomorrow night or have a completed 2012 BRCA form then you will be unable to race.

Thanks for understanding.

Cheers

Chris

It seems that there are a few people turning up on Tuesday evening for the club night, having an extended period of practice and then either breaking their car, finding the track doesn't suit them or for some other lame reason, deciding not to stay for the race meeting.

Tuesday evening is a club night that we pay ArenaUK a nightly fee to use the property. I propose that from today if you turn up and use your car on the track that you pay the nights going rate - even if you end up not racing!
Likewise, if you practice and break it or start your first heat of the night and crash and burn - please don't ask for a refund...it's not the club's fault.

You should be booked in, fees paid before you go on track - not always practical I understand but if you use the track - PAY UP!

Strongly agreed. Especially since we have been runing at a financial loss recently!
I do not wish to cause any arguments but it realy gets on my tits when people do this, to turn up and practice for 30 mins, break your car and then leave without paying is taking the **** and I cant understand how some could think this is OK.
I know it is not always possible to book in before practice because the lap top is not there early enough but we could have a booking in form. How about we draw up a basic form for drivers to fill in with drivers name, frequency, race class etc and you put your money in a cup, this should be done BEFORE you use the track and is non refundable.
Alot of free labour and materials have been donated by our members and it is a bit of an insult to see people doing this, there have been times that I have come along, paid and booked in and not even raced because I have been running race control. But, I would never dream of asking for my money back!

In my opinion as soon as your wheels hit the track, no refunds! Bit different perhaps if you turn up, pay then realise youve left something at home and cant run or something but if you use the track, even for a lap, you should pay. Its a shame people do it though.

If this is a big problem perhaps we could hand out a sticker at race control which is handed out when you pay your sub, then attatched to the car. No sticker no practice. Have 4 colours or something and alternate between them each week, then at a glance you can see if there is a car on track that hasnt paid.
