Hi guys, I was doing some maintainence on my blitz gears and tested the motor before and it was perfect but not it won't work, I have tried all the usual tests but still nothing, I think it may be a broken wire on the connection but if I can't fix it in time has anyone got a spare 15 turn brushed motor that I could borrow for Tuesday night? |

Don't worry too much about getting things re-connected or soldered on a Tuesday night, a few of us carry gas soldering irons and would be glad to help. Alternatively if you're close to A1 Hobbies in Grantham drop in and get it done while you wait....and car parking is right outside the door.
Let me know if you still need a brushed motor as I have a few knocking about somewhere. |

There is a chance it could be a sticky brush. Remove the springs and clean out the brush holder with a cotton bud. then cllean the sides of the brushes and apply a DROP of oil and put back together. A worn brush is one which has lost about 2mm from its new length. |

I can't because the casing tabs are too tight, could you help me have a look on Tuesday? |

Sounds to me like you may have a 'sealed can' 540 derivative, not designed for repair or modififcation (unless you're a Grasshopper), not a rebuildable motor like some of the suggestions seem to be pointing to. Leave it until Tuesday, any messing about could make matters worse. I've found a 15 turn 540 can motor you can stick in to race with if we can't get you sorted. |
