Perhaps a new class of racing, good for clubs with little room for a normal 1/8 rallycross track. Basically, a normal 1/8 track mimics your average motocross track, with jumps e.t.c but also alot of flat sweeping sections aswell. My idea of Super Rallycross will mimic full size supercross tracks. The track would be built in a much smaller area, and also tighter but with lots of jumps. Races would have 4 or 5 cars at one time for marshall safety. Basically all but one of the straights will have jumps or obsticles on them.

imagine racing buggies on a mini version of that |

More like it, but still not quite what I was thinking of. Im thinking more like the size of our winter arena track, maybe a bit smaller. Short laptimes, but very busy technical tracks. Wouldnt be beginner freindly. Realistically I dont think it would happen. Firstly would be marshall safety, even with only 4 or 5 cars racing at a time it would still be pretty dangerous in the confined track space. It would be very niche I think, with it being pretty difficult compared to normal rallycross, I think people would give up quickly. It would kill cars, just the nature of what you are doing would be a test for car and engine, add multiple cars in the mix and it will be carnage!!! If I had room to do it though I would make one as a practice track! |

i know what you mean tom, supercross is an awespme spectacle when you see guys racing round in an area smaller than most football pitches when they are indoors, but like you said its alot of pubishment on both car and marshalls, would be a really good challenge though and good for short course too, we definetly need to have more obstacles than previous 1/8th track as it was too flat really for the modern day cars ability over jumps, thinking more some decent height air over distance as a super long triple can be a struggle for les confident drivers where a nicely shaped double can be easy to clear with a nice bit of excitement, (thinking mallet double from ndor) as when we do the build it can be a purpose built 1/8 / sct track without having to worry to much about 1/10 buggys and the fragility that comes with them, |

Yes, well the pit would be to finish the final lap and you go through the ring of fire, one thought though, will a ring of fire be brca compliant? |

Another obstacle which is good, and something that should be in the new track, a rythm section like at Ndor. 3 doubles in a row, they were a challenge but really good when you got them right. a whoops section would be good too but I dont know how a RC car would handle them |
