Shell looks good! Drawers are a bit of a mess though, should be ashamed of yourself! |

Not a bad attempt ..... Am liking the stickers!
Did you wash the shell first, use polycarbonate paint and a few thin coats rather than one thick one? |

No I forgot, I rushed into it like a cat on a hot tin roof and stuck the window masks on straight away and just brouught a tin of paint from a DIY store |

That's gonna be interesting......first big impact and there's gonna be sheet paint everywhere!
With clear body shells you need to use proper polycaronate paint which bonds to the plastic and is flexible. Standard spray paints from the likes of DIY stores and motor factors tend to be acrylic paint which dries hard and will literally fall off in sheets...as you've discovered.
At least you'll have another chance with the current shell when all the paint falls away.. Don't feel too bad, we've all done something similar - usual one is to sticker up the outside of the shell and then realise you forgot to remove the overspray mask |

As Phil says, hopefully it will peel off cleanly and you can try again with proper paint for the job.
Best tool to help with painting is a cheapy £5 hairdryer from Asda etc, heat the area to be painted up before spraying and it drys pretty much instantly as spray hits body, heat between coats and it only takes a few minutes to do a design with several colours... Depending on quality of masking job that is... It's the masking that can take hours!
Mounting body on car before painting makes life easier too, harder to get it lined up level and square when it's not transparent... Or just sit it on posts and use a permanent pen to mark overspray film before painting.
Another top tip is to roughly cut out the shell within 1-2mm of cut lines with curved scissors and then use a dremel with a grinding stone to finish the job... This gets rid of any tiny nicks left from scissors which then become splits and tears when impacts occur... Dremel is also very handy for modifying tyres to adjust grip level and for 'slotting' rounded off Allen head screws so a flat blade screwdriver can be used to get dead screw/bolt out without drilling. |

If I had the time and money then I would have gone for a few different colours and a masked off design but I had to go for what's quickest as my stock body shell would last one more meeting before it was completely scrap |

How did you do the pattern in the middle, do you have any spare front hubs I could buy? |
