Might be ok on club nights but breaks pretty much ever rule possible for nationals ie body must be true representative of life size wcehicle. Must have bumpers fitted to factory designs. Etc. If you want a big electric buggy buy an 1/8 electric.
Looks interesting but possibly a bit pointless!! SCT drivers would't be happy for it to raced against them and as its the same size/wheelbase as 8th rallycross then as Dave says, electric rallycross is the sensible choice as it's a recognised class.
it wouldnt stand a chance against a proper 1/8th electric buggy, firstly because its 2wd then its only really capable of handling down to a 8.5t motor any more and its too much, so racing it against 1/8 buggys with full 1/8 brushless systems on 4s - 6s lipo would be like trying to race F1 in a touring car. personally will i wouldnt ruin a perfectly good sct just to make it a car with no class to compete in, as i said earlier if you fancy a change in car get the hong nor off lewis stick your normal sized motor/speedo in it and learn to drive it in a heat where theres not so many cars generally and the ones there are tend to be more relaxed in there racing (and if you get in the way its not such a problem) the hong nor is a very good car if you want to get into 4wd, and all the blitz wheels will fit it
Just stick with the Blitz. Sounds counter productive but run your own pace, try not to get tangled up in pointless races, slow down and try and do a full heat without needing to be marshalled and you will soon move up the timing sheets :-)
