Things are suddenly looking dubious as regards me being available tomorrow...just can't get un-demanding staff anymore!
Anyone want to buy a business....I'm hacked off with being an employer! |

Ok chaps. Not sure what to do, just looked at the weather forcast for tomorrow http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/em/bottesford_forecast_weather.html Heavy rain at first and then thunder/heavy rain for the rest of the day! The problem is not only that we will get wet but driving a digger and dumper on to a water soaked bank has health and safety risks attached to it. I think the sensible option would be to cancel tomorrows work day and maybe try for Friday? Any thoughts? Maybe check forcast again in the morning? It is a bit annoying as I have already planned for the plant to be made available and I am supposed to be up at 5am so I can get to work to collect the digger and then go back for the dumper and be ready for action by 07.30ish.

On this one Ian, you must lead from the front - the responsibility for on-site safety and instruction will lie with you as you're loaning us the kit. If you think that the weather could cause issues then postpone.
I am more likely be available Friday now due to staffing levels rather than Thursday so it's good for me, any others that have taken time off work might not be able to be so obliging.... |

A massive thanks to Ady, Ryan and Phil for all your help today. We got the extra lane on the 1/10th track done but it still needs to be rolled and astro turfed before it can be used. It is amazing how much much was needed, about 40 tons in all but not with the wheel barrow. We had some mechanical help!

Will was asking about a work party this weekend. If anybody is available to help out please contact Will, I may be able to give a couple of hours and most of the work will be a general tidy up and relaying the plastic flooring in the pit ramp area. The new track area also needs raking out and high/low points sorting out ready for rolling. The plan next week at some point after tuesday is to remove all of the yellow hose and roll the whole track and then put astro on the new section.

A few pictures of the 'digger-meister' a man obviously skilled at mechanical manipulation of earth and soil!

And one of the blind dumpy dumper drivers

Nice job there Ian...if only we can do something similar with the nitro track.... |

If some body wants to step forward and take control on 1/8th track work then I will help where I can. But as usual time is rarely spare for me, if anybody wants to do it though let me know what equipment you need and I will try to get it on site! |

A good job there gents!! Looks spot on!
Apologies for my "no show" in the end. But after both my lads ended up on site this morning I had to man the phones and ended up getting lumbered with a tricky job that stuffed the rest of my day. By the time I got it sorted it was school run time :( |

Do we have a usable track for racing this evening or do we need to turn up prepared for labouring? |
