Not long Chaz, a little bit more work on the track to be done first, so hopefully in the next few weeks.

Hi all, I must say the track looks great, I was thinking of calling to have a look and a chat with a few peeps one tuesday, Looking at joining a club, never raced before and looking at getting the kids involved, 9 and 12 year old. We all run tamiya buggies and vintage/re-re stuff mainly but been thinking of getting a modern buggy for the kids to try it out. Do you have open days where we could just come and run for fun if we became members of your club. reckon my sand scorcher would look great on there.

Come and have a look anytime you want. We are racing tomorrow evening so you could come and have a chat and let the kids have a go on the old 1/8th track. Club racing nights are very relaxed and good fun with people of all ages and abilities. Cheers, Ian.

Still had a good night's racing though - weather perfect, pizza smelt great although didn't have one - have to save having tea before I race next week!

I think me and Nick are popping down tomorrow night, not sure if I'm up to the racing standards yet though, I have been down to the track 4 times in the past week and to my surprise it's just been us....

If you can make your vehicle go forwards, turn left and right and stop - you're ready for racing!

Come down, sign in and have a couple of practice laps - when the hooter goes drive your own race, don't worry about being first - keep out the way of those that want to pass you and use the experience as a learning curve.
Driving round an empty track is fine, most experience is gained whilst racing...and it's more fun!

Let those on the rostrum know you're a noobie, tell them which your vehicle is and let them drive round you, that's what club nights are for after all.

Cheers for the words of encouragement, but seems we won't be down this week as Nicks got other plans and need to take the dog to the vet again! Might see who's up for a newbie night on Thursday though... New post in the making.
