Im new to here, so I thought Id say hello to everyone. I came down on Tuesday to have a look, and it looks pretty cool!
Im hopefully going to get a buggy at the weekend, but will I also need my own selection of crystals to race, or are you given them at the start?
If all goes to plan, see you on Tuesday!

Thanks
Tom

Welcome to the madhouse Tom,

Always advisable to obtain as many sets of crystals as you can afford - there will always be sometime when you clash with someone else - if your budget can run to it, 2.4 GHz (Spektrum) is also a good option.

I think the buggy im getting is the XTM -X -Terminator 2, but i could be wrong. Its about £200 at Access models. Ive got about 3 sets of 27mhz crystals though, but if its not 27mhz ill buy a few.
Thanks for the quick replies!

Tom

You do realise though Tom that you have to run a new engine in before racing

Hi Tom, I may be wrong but i think that the XTM comes with 40mhz fm radio. A couple of the guys have got them and they seem to be good for the money but keep a spare set of front wishbones, a bit of a weak point but very cheep!

Amongst the others that wear the same T-shirts, actually wouldn't it be easier to tell Tom what car you drive, or is that thinking outside the box?

Well, Ive not got the buggy today, they sold the last one this morning! I might come up on tuesday again and watch though, depends on the weather. One more thing though, how many sets of crystals will be enough? (Its 40mhz FM)
Thanks again

Did he say if he had any at the newark shop or not? When is he getting more in did you ask? As for crystals you want the 1's that are not used by other drivers check out the list on tues to see what crystals they are using always best to carry spares as well
