WHERE WAS EVERYONE?????????????
The temperature is no different to that we have experienced in the last 2 months, in fact it was +0.5 degress all the way home which is alot warmer than some weeks.
All the roads were 100% clear with not a hint of ice and salted.
I really don't understand what is different about this week?
I did a 64 mile round trip for nowt as there were not enough people to race. |

All the roads to my village still have ice + snow on them. They were slippy at 5.30, so will be even worse now (9.00), thats why I didnt come. True all the mains roads are fine though |

Yeh was a pretty pour turnout but then again we have to appreciate that others might have different plans and its only one week of the year, and no dirty cars to clean |

Sorry chaps. it was a complete and utter balls up - for one reason or another we had a complete break-down in communication and at 4:00 pm this afternoon I was asked if we were cancelling.... DUH? first I heard about it. needless to say, it all went pear shaped.
I think we need to have all everyone's contact details - one of us can then act as central contact for all. and this shouldn't happen again. |

Hi, I was pretty gutted not coming over, the last time i checked the forum it was all off!! as it takes me 1hr 10m to get to you that was my decision made! Then i checked later and it was back on but far to late for me to make it! Think you have a good idea phil about trying to get people to sign on in advance with a central contact. for people like myself that have a long drive it would help alot just to be able to pick up a phone and check everythings happening. |

I think by virtue of the fact I seem to be on here more than most, people could send me a PM via this site or text on the number previous, and I will act as central communicator to let you know in case this happens again.
If you let me have your user name / real name and (preferably) a mobile no. for texts, I can contact everyone if this sort of thing happens again.
We will organise 'remote signing on' as soon as possible - that's really down to admin....eh Chris? |

Phills thread previous page: "someone has spoken to John at Laughton Manor and Cancelled" might have read it wrong but that is whats said. with a long drive that was enough for me not to bother, but fingers crossed i will be there next week. |

Quote- >>> There's been mention of this evening being cancelled due to bad weather - It seems that some bright spark has been talking to John at Laughton Manor and cancelled. This problem can be rectified, if like me, you want to race.
Can you please let me know if you or anyone you know are definitely wanting to race - bear in mind that the roads are clear around that area, but may get frosty later and let me know via this site or on 07712873735.
No excuse See ya next Tuesday - hopefully

Thanks for the defence Smog, there's one thing I can do reasonably well - and that's write.....spent weeks on the Banana boat coming over to 'Blitain' learning to read, write and speak the Queen's english - just so I would fit in.

As Smog pointed out - you didn't read it wrong, just not enough.....bit like my racing, you didn't quite make it to the end!
The worst of the weather has passed, the sprinklings that have fallen since have only affected side roads (I was up to my axles in it yesterday - and made it through, love 4WD!!) the main roads around here are clear, so next Tuesday will be fine.
If you know anyone that doesn't use the forum tell them in person please. Lifts from the Grantham area are available.
