What's your budget like?
not being personal, but there are so many RTR kits out there new why buy second hand, unless of course you have lots of usable bits..... |

One of the best starter kits at themo is the hyper 7 buggys they are cheap for spares and most shops have stock of them and you can get the spares cheap on ebay if you are looking for a pro kit look at hong nor buggys they are chreap and very hard to brake like the hyper and the spares for them are chreap aswell.engine wise if you get a rtr kit a lot of them come with 28 engines but most of us that race use a 21 they are just a bit more controlleble then a 28.

Agree with Carl, got to be the Hyper 7, if you don't want to spend a fortune and just want to "club race".
Probably the best thing with a hyper is that you can almost guarentee that somebody will have a spare you can borrow trackside.
The TQ is the RTR version, there is also a new version called the TQ black which has a few nice bits on like big boar shocks.
I believe Access Models have TQ's in stock.
