Brilliant news, did it cost anything for the muck and bulldozer?

Let us know when you need some help.

Here you go. 3 days and 57 loads of muck.

The are to the left is what has been completed today hence why it wet.

The are in front of the pit ramp will need roling by hand as the guy on the dozer couldn't get too close.

Looks great. Will the water run through it? What is the next phase, are you going to put any drainage in? Will try to get down over the weekend. Anydoby else going down.

I don't think the water will run through it, as it is mostly clay. But the track area is no longer the lowest point on the entire site, so it' a bloody good start!!

Plan? This might be a good start
1) Temporaraly mark out track, check everything is ok distance wise e.t.c
2) Sort drainage trenches perhaps as discussed earlier in this thread
3) Decide where jumps e.t.c will be and build them
4) Lay out pipe and cover with the astro.

The only day I wont be able to make is next Sunday and Saturday mornings when Im working, otherwise my calendar is clear so to say. My freind (who dosent own any RC things by the way) has asked if he can help with the track work for some reason, so thats another person to help!

Is there enough astro to cover the whole area first before laying the hose? This would give the infill and marshal areas a good surface too!

Although there seems like there is loads of astro I don't think there will be enough to cover the whole area. Especially by the time we discount the torn pieces.

We do have somebody with a telehandler that will asist in laying it FOC.

I can get a 1.5ton digger for £50 per day with free delivery for future ref but only on week days 08.00 - 16.30. I dont know any body with a telehandler though!

Went down the track today with dad & Tom, track looks great, & huge!. Steve paced out the track & it is approx 75m x 35m, extending the track was a great idea. The rostrum should be able to stay where it is, as the extreme corner of the extention is still nearer to the rostrum than the table top in the other corner. The control cabin could also stay where it is.

While muck is still available is it worth having a few lorry loads dumped in the middle of the track or on the spare car park(or both), as we will need something to use for jumps, banked corners etc. Some of the jumps could be made of wood as previousely suggested, but may be impractical to do all jumps like that(would need quite a lot of wood to build & skin each one 4m wide). Would have thought a lot of them could be made using muck,I know there will be a bit of muck spare after digging drainage trenches but think we would need more.

We where going to get extra muck trucked in but the drivers wouldn't go on the car park on Friday due to the rain. There is still three loads over the back we can use and that big pile of spoil near the shipping container. If it manages to stay dry for a few days then I will see what we can get.

I suggest a planning meeting on Tuesday night at tea break. We will need to deligate some jobs out, this way it will get doen quicker.
