It's now official ! I have been given the duty to announce that thanks to Ben Challis (TNX King) we have secured the use of the land at Gonerby Moor to build an outdoor track.
We have been granted the use of, at reasonable cost with the blessing of an extremely benevolent land owner, one acre of land, the need for a formal lease ( at great expense) has been postponed until such time that we are established and can afford it.
It has been agreed that we can use the land and build our track on the proviso that we return it to it's original state if we were to cease racing - with this in mind, track laying and design will have to consist of track surfaces that can be easily removed until the lease is completed.
This could potentially be the start of something great, both for our hobby and the local area - and it doesn't smell of horse.... |
