If the tube has no ridges we could drill a hole through both sides of the tube and pass the cable tie through and then through the stake as well??

If possible we don't want to put holes in the new tubing, as it will only weaken it. Remember it has to last as long as possible. I will try and get a few knackered inner tubes from one of the tyre places if I can. Then we can try it at NO cost.

sounds like a plan... anything is worth a try especially if it doesn't damage the hose.

what ever we do needs to be so if you hit the tube what ever is holding it down wont rip your wheel off,iv seen people rip both front and rear wheels off,and before that one person says you shouldnt hit the tube,you hit the one rock in an open field(highlift)

I have got enough scaffold tubes to build a roof on the track let alone a rostrum, just need the clamps! How are we doing on the clamp front?
