It's alright for you blokes - I got home, stripped and cleaned the BBQ - got it lit, put the food on , then had to go to work, did that job rushed home ate the black stuff that was left - had the 3 s's and then another call - and I've just got back at 10pm....
Brilliant day - track looks great - and big too - a BIG WELL DONE to all the labourers (and skilled tradesmen too). As good as they are - I'm of the opinion that the photo's don't do justice to the work that was put in today and yesterday (?)
There are certain individuals that due to their ability to supply tools, equipment and especially the skills to use them should have a special mention - but for fear of embarassing them I won't - but we all know who they are. Without them a difficult job was made a damn sight easier and saved the club an absolute fortune in costs.
Don't get on at Chris - he actually did do physical work ( bit of shovelling )and not just wonder round with his camera - I took piccies with my phone - and will download them as soon as I find out how!
It seems the track has been designed well enough to achieve the recommended 35 - 40 seconds per lap (probably not by me - my little practice on the jumps ended up in the drainage ditches more than once!) and now that the piping is down and the track has been strimmed all round, the layout looks really good - even I can see it!
Later on in the afternoon, whe we finally got the opportunity to have a play - the noise of the two strokes drew interest from the Moto-cross boys - some had a wander over - potential new members when their bodies can sustain no more injuries?
Some have mentioned that they were going down to Gonerby tomorrow evening - don't forget that Steve has organised Newark for the next four(?) weeks and it would be nice to show support for his efforts.

A few more weeks I would say Josh.
We need to finish the rostrum, finish the jumps, sort our race control and the pit lane, and put some hard fencing between the track and the car park/pits.
May I also remind people that we are racing at Newark tonight not at the new track, as it is not yet finished.
