Hi all. If I want to use a 2s lipo is it essential for it to have a hard case? I have been using 3 and 4 cell lipos for years in planes and helicopters and have had some crashes and even had a lipo fall out of a plane at about 50ft and never had one explode! Whats the rule/opinion?

Well the BRCA rules state LiPo's must be hard cased
Some clubs also only allow using hard cased LiPo's,some also say you must use a charging bag whilst charging them
Not sure what the Grantham club rules are, but it'd probably be best to get hard cased ones that way if you go and
race at a club that only allows hard cased then you'll have no problems

Hi Ian

As we are following BRCA regs then they need to be hard case.

Cheers

Chris
