So what do you think we will see in RC technology in the future, whether its in the next 5, 10 or 50 years?

Force feedback controllers so you can feel what the car is doing rather than be fully detatched from it.

Full telemetry to help set cars up e.t.c.

A warning system built into the track that works with your radio gear. The track would be split into sectors and if a marshal responsible for that area leaves his post then the sector goes yellow. You would have a light or something on your radio that lights up yellow when entering the sector.

Any more ideas?

I think they should have eight buttons on your controller so when your lapping say car 5 you press 5 and the driver gets a little electric shock to make them move out the way haha lol!! And what about full pitstops for electric cars including tyre changes with little wheel nut guns and everything lol I think I'm in need of some sleep to many hours this week lol

How could I forget the obvious when talking about the future....

HOVER CARS!!!

Another one, maybe in the future RC racing might get some attention from the energy drinks manufacturers like everthing else seems to at the moment. Then instead of having Microsoft Sam telling us how long until the start of the race there would just be a couple of grid girls with a 30 second and 5 second board like in the supercross.

I think the hovercars will come before then though.

Full on-board camera facility so you drive from 'the drivers seat' allied to the feedback system.

Chris already has half a hover car.. the front wheels hover in the air until it hits a fence, another car or one of the wheels drops off from being bored with hovering!

Energy drink sponsorship has already happened with the 'Kick' winter series at Ardent last year... and they had lycra clad grid girls at the meetings!

Red Bull don't sponsor sports, they create them or buy them and i assume monster and relentless will do something one day.

The lapping thing is not needed as proper race meetings have refs which should call slower cars out of the way of lapping cars... but cars should be itted with a remote shut down so anyone that is being naughty gets an instant stop go penalty.

r/c car 'laserquest' for shortcourse... where you get to score points by hitting targets on each others cars with lasers fired from a roof cannon... top points for targets under chassis!

What about a special pair of gloves that you would use in the same way as a standard controller, as if the controller wasn't there or programme cartoon gestures to do carts in actions e.g. Move right hand forwards to go forwards and raise right hand to turn right. But saying all thee ideas just look back at some tamiya and hpi cars; what are themanor changes, non machanical speed controllers and 2.4 ghz radio system so I can't see any major changes
