my friend as the hyper 7 and i used to have a trophy, they both take a bit of a bashing, my trophy only ever cracked the front hub carrier that was just cosmetic damage, my friends hyper is tough, only thing he broke was the rear diff casing but that was after a nasty landing on a back flip from about 5 foot high. both are as good, but people will tell you that the hyper is better because of there being many different version and the fact that it is more popular among racers, i personally prefer the trophy, only downside is they eat one way bearings. |

Serious answer ? Hobao Hyper 7 or derivative of, for messing and bashing or club level racing - easily available spares new or second hand, as long as you replace the front steering knuckles for CNC billet versions it's almosr indestructible. Mine did several racing seasons at club level, indoors and out, and finished it's life doing almost 5 hours of a 6 hour endurance race.....
For a good racing buggy - RTR, new RB one RTR which is my weapon of choice for the 2012 outdoor season, 2.4GHz radio, savox servos all in the box.
ring Lewis at A1 Hobbies Ltd, 01476 579393 and see what he has in stock, new or second-hand. |

All depends on your budget rtr nights can range from around the 300 mark for a hyper 7 by the time you put the proper steering knuckles on. Which ad said before perfect for Abit of bashing or club racing with good spare parts available. If you want to realllly race and budget not too much of an issue then there are the Losi 8 rtr and mugen mbx6 m-spec which are both around the 600 area personally I don't think you can beat the RB one rtr at the minute ad it comes with everything even s very good starter box all you really need is fuel 25% Byron from A1 hobbies have you considered electric power? |

Id go for a Hyper 7 myself. In the right hands it is competative at club level. Only thing you need to do is change the stock steering knuckles for CNC ones and fit the white springs. Oh and swap out the servos for something more suited for the task. |
