Yep... Ansmann did it about 2 years ago with their first 2WD SCT release.
They fitted 4 Camber links though as it improves the handling in corners and straight line stability!
I wouldn't run it like that either as the standard diff will not last very long, since it now having a final drive ratio of over half again its designed load!
yea, its missing quite a few parts that didn't arrive in the kit like rear body mounts, diff screw and nut and nut holder and front tie rod and the body shell came broke and i currently waiting for new parts from steve at access
Oh dear... definitely a late friday afternoon job with that kit then!
The kit diff screw is not very good tbh... so was replaced with a Yokomo one, camber links are better replaced with same length turnbuckles so they can be adjusted whilst on the car rather than having to pop them off the balls to adjust (which then creates a weak link and is a pain when trying to be accurate with camber)plus the kit ones will bend easy if you have a habit of hitting things.
Body mount wise i would use velcro strips on sides of shell and chassis rather than bodypins... a lot user friendly and helps keep dirt/water out of electrics.
Don't let this put you off, they are a very good car as they are a plastic copy of competition buggy designs from a few years back (10+ years!) which are still competitive these days... but as they are 1/4 of the price some things need tweaking to make them more reliable.
I cross drilled the front body mount so the pin went in from front... a lot easier to get a pin in with fat fingers!
ive considered the velcro idea and im just going to stick with the pins for now as it is just a bit easier and im only going to run it at the club, how much is the yokomo diff screw?
