Probably a strange question
But who owns the club?
Also would it be possible to 'rent' the track for a fun meet?

Will, although only trying to be helpful - you ought not to volunteer information you're not 100% sure of...as a club we don't 'own' any property or land unfortunately.

Both tracks have been laid on rented property -

ArenaUK being the owners of the indoor venue and we pay rent for the weekly use of the facility, graciously being allowed to leave the track set up over the winter period because the venue won't be used until spring by anyone else - on the proviso that if they get another booking we have to dismantle and remove our track and reassemble afterwards.

The outdoor track is built on land rented from a local farmer and we pay an annual rent to use the land. Once again there are certain rules we have to adhere to .

There isn't a commitee per se, but there does exist a group of 'volunteers' who have been involved longer than everyone else that do make up a 'management group' for want of a more fitting title.

In any situation regarding the use of the club tracks, you would be advised to approach Ben Challis or Chris Spendlove in the first instance as they are usually more involved in the running of the club. I expect you would be obliged to contribute funds towards the venue and use of the club's track and to make sure you are covered by the club's BRCA affliation for liability insurance purposes.
