Hi guys, I'm in need of a blitz for my lad to do the shortcourse nationals with me, I just need a roller I've got a motor, speedo, servo and old controller. Really don't want to spend much cos he's not raced before and crashes will happen.
Cheers Steve. |

Chris (KO Vantage collector and toilet specialist) has allegedly got a new ESE so he might be persuaded to part with whats left of his Blitz,
Here's the for sale Ad, Copy and paste when ready Chris!
barely used (properly), one careless ladyboy owner, rarely starts, doesn't stop, never finishes and has very worn rear axles from wheels sliding off under load!
Handles like a hammered drunk pirate with 2 wooden legs and woodworm but has had full crash testing and comes with a lexan flake jigsaw to sellotape into a bodyshell whilst waiting for spares to arrive!
Will keep the family amused for hours trying to work out what it was!
ha ha!
Lewis had one in the shop but i think its spoken for... worth a ring tomorrow though as he is skiving using the good friday excuse!
A1 Hobbies do have a mega deal on Ansmann X2SC Pro SCT trucks atm, proper bargain price, they are a great truck but don't know if they will take the hammer of a beginner like the Blitz would.
If not and i hear of anything will give you a shout, Broxtowe lot always have something for sale worth buying
Oh yeah, in line with sponsorship duties... be nice and treat him to a proper truck and get a Losi XXX-SCT, they are the bestest, especially the ones bought from A1 Hobbies LTD, : p |

Ha ha! Cheers guys, do you want to sell chris? Would be good to get it running properly and tighten wheel nuts then let my lad still beat you with your new ese! it must be worth a tenner? Seriously let me know m8.
Had a look at that ansmann looks quite good but do blitz wheels fit it don't think I can afford any new. |

Yeah the Blitz wheels fit straight on and are right offset etc,
Bodyshell comes clear too so it doesn't clash with others, thats the only problem with having loads of rtr Blitz's in same race.
Would be awesome to see Chris get thrashed by a kid with his old car... sorry Chris cos i know that feeling as Rob Jaques rubs it in everytime he gets me with that Ansmann!
Tenner... very generous but he needs to pay you more than that to take it Steve.. no scrap value or weighing in! |

Chris's truck will be fine, had some use but they all stand up well to it.
I'd go for the Ansmann over an ESE, will be £50+ cheaper, just as good if not better in the right hands and parts are very cheap for them... Lewis bashed the CORE about outside and didn't smash it, i gave it some hammer and finished 2nd at a Regional with it against 4WD trucks, thrashed everyone at West Bridgford with it on grass and it took some big knocks from you dirty lot at A1!
Please buy Will's Blitz off him cos it'll cost a fortune in yellow hoses this summer (only kidding) |

Waste of money, you'll just be breaking hub carriers or wishbones instead, the way to stop breaking parts is to stop hitting things... Your car is too fast for your ability, end of, so the most cost effective modification is a slower motor and more quality practice, no amount of shiny bling will drive your car around for you in front of the rest of us. |

Well its not slow enough... between crashes on consequetive corners on Tuesday you crashed/rolled over in front of me on outside of corner, then shot past me miles from the racing line (cos i was on it) to crash again on the outside of next corner
KV rating means nothing, it tells you revs per voltage, its Watts that is a comparable figure as it is the unit for power which includes torque produced
To save cash on another motor... If you cannot limit speed electronically on speedo or radio then this is how you do it:
Get some tape and some foam and limit the throttle travel by taping foam behind throttle trigger and around handle of radio, this is sound advice not a joke or wind up, then concentrate on driving lines for a few weeks, then cut down half the foam and try it with a bit more throttle.
Its the only way you will get better at the hobby... watching how others take corners will help, Watch the arena X videos and watch the cars that beat you, count their mistakes in comparison and work out what obstacles are causing the most issues and practice them... watch the A final from Carnage 2.5 and you tell me what i'm doing differently to the other drivers and then i'll tell you why ; ) |

Ok cheers for the advice mate, I'll do the foam method on Tuesday, it made a big difference when Dave adjusted the dual rate, I'll also use a smaller pinion |

Good news Steve, bet Kieran will be happy to get an upgrade! just don't let him get any practice with it and put a silly motor in for him again please, i'm in 2WD class this year, so don't need any more competition..
Thats definitely a bonus with dirt tyres included, looks like the Calibers may be the ones that work best too, there is new dirt been laid at Coventry for this year... i'm glad cos i missed it last year so hopefully you lot haven't got too much advantage with experience... never raced on dirt, so could be interesting!
I'll keep hold of those tyres in case i need them... got some calibers but they are glued on a set of front wheels, might take the risk with Acetone and see if they'll be swapable onto rear rims... just in case Losi ones are pants!
Hope to see you at Coventry if not before mate.
Going to be a decent show from A1 Racing Club again by looks of it!
Ben's thinking of coming now too... might need some proper practice this week! (might talk nicely to MX track as their kids track is nice smooth dirt!) |

It's just Gunna be me and jake at Coventry, Kieran has a title deciding footy match that Sunday, it'll be fun with jake though cos he's only done 2 races indoors but we all started somewhere I suppose, I've got some work to do before Sunday putting all my gear out my cougar in the new truck, Gunna need more motor wire, pinion gear and loads of soldering which I'm rubbish at.
