Many thanks to the 'Magnificent 7' (showing my age again!) that turned out today, another good day's graft.
I hope the rest of you appreciate how much effort your club mates are putting in for you.......

Thanks to A1 club for letting me dump it at the track, it helped me out as much as it did you.

Did anyone take any pictures of the work yesterday?

Again, I had the aerial cam with me but was too windy to launch it :(

Sunburnt? - honkies should wear sunscreen.....and I did warn you about hats, but we were blessed with the weather. What's the betting that this year will be the driest summer for some years and all this work wasn't necessary? At least we'll be sorted for next winter, we can run Sunday daytime and Tuesday nights indoors at Laughton...just got to retire to have the extra free-time!

Aerial cam? - is it one of those detachable cameras or one ready fitted into a flying machine? reason I ask is surely we could launch a kite with camera attached and do aerial shots? that would be really great to have overhead shots to post....bit like google maps but up to date!

So am I Tom, So am I

It's one of these I have Phil:
http://tinyurl.com/d5j9xf

With one of these strapped underneath it:
http://www.flycamone2.com/index.php?id=20&L=3

It's very forgiving and slow to control with really good ease of use.
2Gb card in the camera with the plane batteries giving about 8mins fly time.
Needs next to no wind to fly and that the prob - it needs to be nearly calm to fly it!

There's a few on here that are unable to work at Gonerby this weekend, family commitments and pressure from partners requiring them to have a weekend off from labouring - the threat of divorce, although attractive comes at too high a price!

HOWEVER, I'm sure that the above doesn't apply to all....SO, to maintain momentum and in the interest of the club, are there any other volunteers that have yet to lift a shovel, able to help out this weekend? some of the jumps need finishing off, the big banking on the front straight needs doing and the pit lane still needs shifting.

For guidance, the Jenkinson's (Steve and Phil) have said they can attend and know the design requirements, so we just need others to help. Please make yourselves known...
