Tom is picking up Phil in morning, unfortunately I won't be down until about noon. Major breakdown at work, so have got a 10" dia hydraulic cylinder to strip & repair |

Looking very good indeed!
Those banked corners are awesome! Has anyone tested them yet? |

I did have a quick thrash round and the banked corners work great! |

Picture 9 looks a little ominous I wonder who will be the first to clear the lot
Are you able to take the banked corners at full tilt or will it be quicker to take them on the racing line?
I have visions of everyone going on the inside edges of them both and them not getting used to their full potential? |

Jim : I *think* the 1st banked corner will make race starts cleaner. After the start though it all depends on the 1st jump being clearable. If its possible then you could try and use the higher line through the corner to keep your exit speed up for the jump. If the 1st jump isnt clearable though then I think you would loose the advantage of using the higher line because you will need to slow down for the jump to get it right. I could be completely wrong and talking a load of b******s though!! Hopefully we will find out soon. A thing i noticed with phils car going through the banked corner is that the higher up it went, the more unstable the car got.
Carl : We have now ran out of prepared astro so we need to get a telehandler down to roll out some more rolls. 1/2 of the track is now covered with astro and piped up. That needs sand putting back on which is going to be a laborious task. The rest of the track then needs laying, which I think will take about a day to do. If we have enough people we could split into work teams, one dragging the astro into place, one putting sand on it and the other laying the pipe. |
