the same thing happend at stanton, the tack went from fast flowing to being to complicated, the only way to be competative was to go fast and jump big,the more money you had the bigger you went, people would come to the track once and not come back, its now shut down,it needs to be forgiving enought for new and beginers to learn, but rewarding to the regulars, but as you say fine tuning can only be done after all the hard work has been done, |

Thanks to Steve Jenkinson, we now have a quantity of hose/pipe connectors for finishing more of the yellow track marking pipe. If anyone is intending working over the weekend and requires it - I can deliver.
The last corner by the kennel has not been stretched or pinned and some of the creases / ridges will be pulled out in due course. Some of the overlaps are quite noticeable as you go over them, but that's not a bad thing. Once again, a rectifiable problem.
Best make the re-profiling of the jumps be a priority then, would an extra layer of astro under the 'landing area' help to soften some of the impact - another way of using up some gash bits?

Myself, Del, Ade and ryan were down today. The tripples have been sorted. The first jump in the tripple has been profiled and it now works alot better. The double afterwards has had the same treatment.
The two jumps along the back straight arent as steep now, with the latter still more of an obstacle than a jump due to the corner straight afterwards. The first jump after the banked corner has been reprofiled. The first small step has been merged more with the 2nd jump, so its more like a doubble. It seemed to work quite well.
All of these changes took a small amount of time, so if the majority dosent like an aspect of what has been done it shouldnt take to long to be put back!!
Basically from watching Ade and Ryan drive today, the track flows alot better and there were far less nasty landings from the jumps, far from a car breaker! It also looks to be alot more beginner freindly which is a good thing in my view. We also had a tidy up on the infield, getting rid of the rubbish astro turf and the bits of wood which are of no use.

Well done to all! Very much appreciated this end and I am sure by all others.
I have now got the RB in the ST-RR and am going through the heat cycling process with it. If the weather is good I will bring the H7 on Tuesday and give that a blatt.
Has there ever been any issues with 27Mhz Tx to RX communication being lost when leaving the car on the track and walking around behind the steel rostrum structure? Just wondered? :) |

Many thanks again to those that turned out this evening. An extremely productive night.
For those that weren't there - did you know that brushless powered 1/8th buggies can reach the ditch on the other side of the road off the banked corner? - tremendous!
I presume that next week we WILL be racing? - Excellent! |
