Seems like a good idea to me, how many are willing and available and what do we need in the way of plant, tools or materials, etc?

name a time and date and ill try and be there.
I dont think theres anything major needs doing, just the re profiling of jumps, which we have all we need at the track to do that, some of the joints may need looking at and perhaps tidying up the second banked corner, i think its just a case of cutting off astro tape e.t.c. I think the track has settled nicely over the last few months.

Toms spot on, not a grear deal to do other than a good tidy, cutting some overlaps back and sorting the jumps out.

One major issue that need addressing is the removal of the first jump after the table top on the back straight. The muck can be used to sort the profiles on the tripples out.

The jump is at the wrong angle to been seen properly from the rostrum and you lose sight of the car on the up ramp. It's too dangerous to marshal between the two jumps, we had one accident at the 8o9 and a couple of near misses.

Theres also a few cut throughs that need putting in to shorten the lap time for the 10th electrics.

oh, and bark chippings on the infield if we can get them.

we could proberly get it all done in a day with enough help.

Is there any consensus on which day the track work is planned?

Happy to come and help, but need advance notice so I can organise my weekend.

I don't think the Marshals in the line of fire are too keen on that 1st jump!!

Track work on Sunday is on.

Looks like I may have to duck out though as I am moving some servers for a cusomer tomorrow.

Let me know if you need a grinder and disks for cutting the astro though.

Sorry guys, me and Vicky can't make it tomorrow either.

A friend works for Team RAC in the BTCC, and we are going to Rockingham on free race passes to hob-nob with them!!!

A bit of an offer we couldn't refuse.

A close family friend is good friends with Colin Turkington and their daughter works with Team RAC at BTCC meets.

Got a phone call this morning asking if we were interested in going, hell yeah was my reply!!! Lol

Been to see the Le Mans racers at Silverstone (free passes again), but never seen Touring Cars live.

Rather looking forward to it!

Rockinghams a great track for spectating. Have a good time :-) Turn 1 is a bit busy if they use the chicane, but last time i went they just used the banking, so not much happened there.
