If anyone is going to do any strimming - I have can with pre-mixed two stroke fuel for strimmer in shed, have also got more strimmer line if you'll need it.
Please let me know if you need it, away from early Saturday morning for weekend. |

FAO Phil (Grasshopper)
Hello matey, been down to track today to get some strimming done, managed the fuel and 2 stroke bit but ran out of strimmer line.
Any chance i can fetch some from you tomorrow or if you can get it to Lewis or Chris for me to pick up?
I'm kicking around atm so can get trackside cleaned up tomorrow ready for tuesday night?
The lawnmowers are out of action too, need a little service by the looks of them, couldn't get them started! will take some tools and WD40 down and have a tinker.
If anyone else can get down earlier on tuesday night(s) to help with some track maintainence, would be muchly appreciated.

Hiya Mark, Been away 'oop North' for the weekend - and without "t'internet" I could drop some strimmer line at Access Models in Grantham for tomorrow morning if that's convenient - or if I'm passing through town before Lewis gets in then it'll be at my wife's office just down the road and Lewis will tell you where it is.
Trust you didn't treat mowers as Two strokes and fuel accordingly....I think they're 4 stroke and a bit temperamental due to old age! |

TRACK WORK SUNDAY 29th August
Hi Everyone, there will be a track work party this Sunday.
We will be having a tidy up of the track, including laying some of the old astro on the infield and covering with tarmac planings.
Also we will be sorting the new track marking out for Arena UK.
More hands make light work and all that, if we can get ten or more people to lend a hand then we should get everything done.
Cheers

TRACK WORK TUESDAY 14th SEPTEMBER
Jobs for Tuesday night.
As I see it this is what needs doing to prepare the track for the SCC meeting and winter in general.
Repair/replace wooden jump sides on the doubles.
Fencecare all wood work.
Repair pit ramp with a view to rebuild it next year.
Paint rostrum and race control.
Place slabs in front of the toilets.
Check take off and landing profiles on all jumps.
Have i missed anything?
Cheers
Chris

The only other thing i can think of is the tidying up of the catch fencing in various locations.
Iain and I painted all the indoor track marking wood yesterday and it is laid out in the red container to dry fully.
I am available Wednesday morning with car and trailer to take it around to Arena, lay it out and photo it for the website if it helps? |

Good work tonight boys... and Chris,
its amazing how much work can get done with a few extra pairs of hands, its also a bit of a giggle too.
Hopefully the re-profiling of jumps will improve the track for everybody and make the track a little more friendly to beginners and 1/10th classes.
The modified jump sides look a lot better and should be more car friendly too.
Would like to say a big thanks to Iain and Dave for the work they have put in on creating the new indoor track markings and erm 'Dolly' the trolley?!
feedback is needed on the improved jumps, if there are any issues then it will be good to be able to modify them before Short Coarse Carnage and the winter series meetings, especially as weather and daylight hours become an issue.
Cheers,
Mark. |

TRACK WORK TUESDAY 21st SEPTEMBER
We will be down working on the track again in preperation for Short Course Carnage!
The plannngs have been delivered for covering the infield. Can I ask that if possible you bring a wheelbarrow and shovel.
Otherwise please bring yourself, the more people we have to help the quicker all this work can be finished.
Having plenty of help made it light work last Tuesday and it was a good laugh as well |
