Right, the chap with the telehandler would prefer to move the astro Saturday morning. MX Dave is happy with this as his big meeting is on the Sunday only.
I need to confirm the telehandler tomorrow so, can I please have some names if you are available Saturday morning.
Don't forget to bring your car... |

Right then, we have all the astro down where it needs to be.
The other rough sections have had the top taken off with the bucket so are now reletively smooth again.
Unfortunately the rain stopped play today. So there is still some work to be done to make the track usable for Tuesday.
some of the creases need pulling out and the edges need digging in. So can anybody spare some time to complete this work Monday evening?? Say about 6.30. It should only take an hour if there are enough of us. |

Ben has asked that if anyone is going down Thursday evening, could they attempt a bit of a tidy up before Sunday's race meet. Also if anyone is free can they help out on a work day this coming Saturday 30th - Ben will be there from early but has to be at work by 10:30. The main item on the need to do list is to tack down or dig in the leading edges of the astro that's been laid so it doesn't lift up. And then just a general tidy up and put things away.
If you can lend a hand please let us know by adding names to this thread. |

I was down all Tuesday morning mowed and strimmed around the track cut off some of the bad bits from the astra turf screwed back the broken part of the pit lane and put a fence around the sump with the broken board. Working late all the rest of the week so won't be able to come down on Thursday. |

I thought someone had already been down - seeing as I've not been there a lot (not well/old age)- and done the weeding etc. It looked a whole lot better than when I last saw it, Thanks for that Dave.
It's just that now we need the astro pulling out a bit to remove a few of the creases - due to the weight we need bodies. And then securing the front edges so it doesn't get lifted.
Be nice if we get the other sponsors advertising hoardings put up that are in the lock up.- but Ben hasn't got us any more sterling board yet. |

We will be down thurs evening, not sure we can do too much as manpower needed to straighten creases, otherwise we could have dug leading edges in.Will try to make some sort of clamp to assist pulling astro, will try to be there saturday but not sure at moment. |

We went down tonight to the track and only Andy was there, Colin from melton turned up a little later. Table top was quite uneven under the astro, and astro was a bit creased. We stripped off the astro, used the sand off it to level it out( there were a few ruts and tyre marks from the telehandler underneath). We then relaid the astro, it just now needs a few pins to pin it down, looks a lot better now. |
