Good night tonight! more new faces and lots more hyper 7's - some good, some bad, some just unlucky, but good fun all the same! Hope that everyone else enjoyed themselves as much as I did.
The electric bit was a bit of a flop - only young Phil's brushless 1/10th put on a bit of a show. My Bosscat was in working order when I brought it - it's just that the cells have not been used in what, 9 years and weren't holding a charge - probably need a bit of cycling - or would that be re-cycling? And in that arena aren't 1/10th small? seem like a toy compared to the 1/8th scale.
The new boy Adam (?) put up a fight with his Kyosho Rally car - performed well considering the poor clearance and road tyres.Definitely need to look at a flat track when we get back outside just for rally cars...be a hoot!
Callum brought his new H7 - all run-in and eager - despite a few of the Royal Mails finest rubber bands managed to lose his battery pack - unfortunately ripping out the loom with plugs as well - shouldn't hit the wall that hard, lesson learnt!
Carl's (Sir Harvo) sons managed to trash a few bits as well by all accounts, gonna be expensive running three cars on a Tuesday! New racer Lyndon had a good night by the looks of things - bit of a dark horse that one - all nice and steady but keeps up the pace...and at least he's racing something other than a H7....exterminator? went well.
Poor Del, servo saver was a little tight - result? one decidedly poorly servo - needs to be a bit looser on a truggy, big wheels see, greater leverage. Think Paul and Carl were having a pop tonight, pushing the boundaries of truggy handling, pair of nutters, good to watch tho, just got to be careful when newbie Chris is trying to keep up - still got handling/control issues!!
Roll on next week, we just need to get a few more jumps sorted out - and a rostrum would be nice...

Hows the racing going guys? Are you getting a good turn out? Gonna give it a few more weeks and then will try to get back out. Had the baby yet Chris? I never realised how much work is involved with a newborn, with the lack of sleep my short term memory has been affected along with my concentration and my short term memory. This combined with my short term memory problems is giving me problems at work and affecting my short term memory! lol. |
