And what another cracking night's racing - a tad too dry? , needed a bit of rain to damp down the dust and maybe bring grip levels up - bit 'marbly' again, but 3 heats and finals - and I finished all four races - marvellous!

The nights are slowly drawing in - and I think that an attempt should be made to get racing started for 6:30 and also shorten the time between heats to ensure we get the races through.

Yup, first heat on the line for 6:30 and will reduce heat gap to 3 minutes.

Hopefully the new changes to the Race Timings will include FINALS every week as I am sure everyone likes the fact that you have a 10 min Race including a Pitstop.

Transmitter should be switched on before your car is started.
Call out what frequency you are on before switching on also helps as you will know if anyone is on the same one.........

Sometimes, I know it shouldn't happen but people don't check and just switch their radios on - causing you loss of control.
By rights you should have a failsafe fitted in your nitro cars these should shut your throttle if it detects interference/ loss of signal from your Tx.

When I used to use 27am / 40fm sets - I would purposely turn my receiver end on first - just to see if someone else was transmitting on my frequency - of course this was before I started it up!

Ive got a fail safe in my car, but for some unknown reason the corner before the table top, i seem to stop and loose throttle control, and when im going up the standy thingy, reving my car, it doesent receive it. I know it has something to do with the fail safe, but i have no idea.

you will find that if your battery packs arnt charged fully and you dont hold your hand set up,the signal will always get lost at the bit of track that is the furthest away from you,ie the the corner before the table top,if it happens again try holding your handset so the arial is pointing stright up,if you get no problems your batteries arnt holding a charge in the car,if it still happens make sure your arial isnt loose in your hand set,,also make sure your reciver arial goes stright out and isnt being overlaped in the reciever box by any ather wires
